Yamaha Cygnus Ray-ZR VS Honda Dio Best Comparison

Recently, the Japanese two wheeler manufacturer, Yamaha brings all new avatar of its stylish scooter, Ray with fresh features and technology updates. The updated version is called a Yamaha Cygnus Ray-ZR.The company has worked on its design effectively to enhance its appeal among the enthusiasts. The Large clear lens headlight styling has been designed keeping in the mind the desires of the today’s customers. Well it will give a tough competition to its rivals but, one of the closest rivals, named Honda Dio that will give a tough competition to the newly introduced scooter. The Honda Dio is first moto scooter in India, that is one of the best trustworthy scooters in its category that rewards you with its stunning style and excellent fuel economy.

Design And Style:-

Yamaha India has brought a new avatar of Ray-ZR with the new concept of a 'Next generation Real Boy 's Scooter', the Yamaha Cygnus Ray-ZR is featured with several sporty elements like sharp lines, side panels, duel tone colour scheme and trendy body graphic. It uses the young touch alloy wheels and all black finished exhaust to attract the buyers.
On the other side, the Honda has worked hard to raise its product at a high level. For an instance, Honda Dio comes with attractive style, longer, slimmer, its body panels with multiple smooth edges. It gives a sporty touch-up from front side with a wide headlight and clear-lens indicator which also give a trendy look to the scooter.

Riding and Handling:-

Now comes to its handling and riding, the Ray-ZR has a single unit seat and a compact handlebar, which give a comfortable ride to the rider for long route. The long seat endows a large room to both the rider and the pillion sitter. Compact handlebars offers an excellent handling power on the all Indian terrains. The scooter offers a dynamic stability power as it is incorporated with oil filled telescopic forks.
Now comes to Honda Dio, it carries a light weight under bone frame and the spring loaded hydraulic suspensions at both ends that offer a better stability power. The Yamaha Cygnus gets an analogue instrument cluster that includes a host of information such as speedometer, turn indicator light, fuel gauge and start light etc. It is also added one feature that’s USB charging point in the scooter for user.
While, the Honda Dio sports with a digital fuel gauge and clock system on the dashboard. The instrument console that includes a huge number of details as an analogue speedometer and basic tell tale lights. The Scooter comes with an under seat storage space of 18 liters.

Engine And Power:-

In terms of powering, Yamaha Cygnus Ray-ZR gets the power from a 113cc 2 Valve, air-cooled, four stroke, single cylinder engine that churns out 7.10 BHP at 7500 RPM and torque 8.1 Nm at 5000 RPM. The scooter is featured with Yamaha's Blue Core Technology and BS IV engine therefore it offers high power to ratio as well. The Powerhouse is mated to an automatic V-belt gear system. It uses the CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) and fuel delivers through the carburetor system.
When talking about the powerplant of Honda Dio, it comes with Honda Eco technology with BS IV engine that offers a dynamic performance. The scooter is powered by the single cylinder, fan cooled, 109.2cc engine that produces the 8 BHP of power at 7000 RPM and 8.91Nm of torque at 5500 RPM. The fuel delivers in engine by carburetor system and it available in both self and kick start for easy to start for riders.

Safety Features:-

Yamaha has taken a step ahead in tough competition market with the provision of optional disc brake at the front and drum brake option at rear section for better safety to the rider. Ray ZR features cast aluminium alloy wheels and tubeless tyre on both ends.
Whereas, the Honda Dio runs on 10 inch steel wheels with tubeless tyres at both ends. The Scooter is featured with drum brakes at both ends and it also comes with a combi braking system, which employs both the front and rear brakes on the application of the rear brake lever.

Color, Mileage and Price:-

The Yamaha gets the new colour scheme with bronze finished wheels. Its available only single color, Matte Green. The Price of the newly launched Cygnus Ray-ZR scooter is Rs 52000 (EX-Showroom Delhi). It gives a decent mileage of  60 KMPL on road.
Honda Dio is available in four color options- candy palm Green, Candy Jazzy Blue, Sports Red and Black. The Honda Dio has been priced at Rs 47,851(Ex-Showroom Delhi). It returns a claimed fuel efficiency of 62 KMPl mileage on road.
